Can Do Canines: Partners for Empowerment and Independence
Tuesday, October 02, 2012
Cost: free, RSVP for complementary lunch
Before Terri Krake's life was abruptly changed, she was a new Deputy Sheriff for the New Orleans region. Like most young professionals she felt eager to prove who she was and what she could do. Terri is doing just that again every day as an ambassador for Can Do Canines, but in a different way than she expected on those New Orleans streets.
Join us for a lunchtime presentation (12:15) on October 2, 2012, in Bede Ballroom as we recognize Disability Employment Awareness Month and learn about an organization that has literally 'gone to the dogs' to give their human companions real opportunities for independence.
RSVP to Laurie Wilson (email@example.com) in advance if you would like to also join for the complementary lunch which begins at noon. Interested persons may choose to just attend the 12:15 program in the same location.
Ms. Krake and Brody will be available from 1:00-2:00 following the presentation for individual or informal conversation.
PARKING NOTE: There will be open parking (i.e. no ticketing) tomorrow between 11:00 and 2:00 to make it easeir to attend this program from off campus.
