All faculty members, and especially new faculty, are encouraged to attend the Policy, Procedure, & Paperwork (PP&P) Seminar on Tuesday, October 22, at 3 p.m. in 108 Hill Hall. Hosted by the Office of the Registrar, this seminar offers an opportunity to learn about current policies, procedures, and the paperwork and forms relating to many of the most common academic requests. An array of policies and procedures will be covered. There will also be time for questions.
A sample of topics to be covered: Incompletes, Course Substitutions, One-time Drops, Overloads, Retroactive Course Cancellation & Tuition Refund, Petition for an Exception to an Administrative Policy, Repeating a Course a Third Time, Academic Probation and Contract, Student Information Suppression, Release of Records, Makeup Work for Legitimate Absences, Mandatory Attendance, Requests for Extended Exam Time, Grading and Transcripts, Student Academic Grievance Procedures, Final Exam Options, Scholastic Dishonesty, among others.
